The Massachusetts Association of Italian American Police Officers gifted this thoughtful plaque to the Woburn Police Department in honor of Officer John "Jack" Maguire, who was killed in the line of duty on Dec. 26, 2010.  The plaque reads:  I never dreamed it would be me, My name for all eternity, Recorded here at this hallowed place, Alas, my name, on more my face. "In the line-of-duty," I hear they say; My family now the price will pay. My folded flag stained with their tears; We only had those few short years. The badge no longer on my chest, I sleep now in eternal rest. My sword I pass to those behind, and pray they keep this thought in mind. I never dreamed it would be me, and with heavy heart and bended knee: I ask for all here from…

I can only hope that the trial proceeds as it should and those three are held responsible for what occurred on that night. Jack's family, friends, brother & sister officers, deserve to at least have the satisfaction of knowing that the "people" (and I use that term very loosely) responsible for his death are …   more ›

Dead people aren't owed this presumption of innocence and can't be libed, the killer is the tues killer, not an alledged one.   more ›
