May see jail time over novelty National Hockey League T-shirts.
A Woburn man is set to stand trial in Boston on criminal counterfeiting charges after selling novelty T-shirts in June of last year. Matthew Busa, 24, faces two-and-a-half years in prison over selling handmade T-shirts during the National Hockey League Stanley Cup finals, reported the Boston Herald. Busa's shirts had two designs, said the Herald—a Vancouver Canucks logo with a red circle/slash through it and the phrase "Boston Fights, Vancouver Bites." An NHL official noticed the shirts and reported it to Boston Police, who confiscated Busa's merchandise under a criminal counterfeiting statute. The Woburn man did have a peddlers license, said the Herald.
