The following text was provided by UMass-Lowell: Eric Richards of Woburn was recently honored at the University of Massachusetts Lowell's second annual Celebration of Scholarship Luncheon. Richards is majoring in mechanical engineering. The celebration, held at the UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center, brought together 300 generous individuals who have endowed scholarships and the students who have received them. UMass Lowell Chancellor Marty Meehan told the donors and students in attendance that giving to scholarships and other areas of the university is important. The following text was provided by UMass-Lowell: Nikole Seil of Woburn, a graduate student in chemistry, has been inducted into SALUTE, a national honor society that celebrates the academic achievements of student veterans. UMass Lowell’s SALUTE chapter was established on campus by the UMass Lowell Student Veterans Organization in 2010. Today, it is one of the largest in the country, reaching 110 members with the most recent induction. The ceremony was held at the UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center and featured Executive Vice Chancellor Jacqueline Moloney among the event speakers.
