We've got a whole lotta love for you today.
Here are five things you need to know today: 1) Love is in the air: And so are clouds! According to the National Weather Service, this Valentine’s Day will be filled with clouds. Boo! Expect temperatures to stay around 45 degrees today, before dipping into the 30s tonight. 2) A lovely exhibit: The Woburn Historical Society is hosting a military exhibit at the Burdett Mansion on Mishawum Road. See artifacts, including helmets, uniforms, posters and more. Click here for more information. 3) Event spotlight: Nothing says love quite like the School Committee. Buy an entree, get another for nothing—if you kiss someone in line.
Customers at the Qdoba restaurant on Mishawum Road can get free food today—if they don't mind a little PDA. The nationwide chain is bringing back a Valentine's Day promotion that, according to spokeswoman Ashley Cohen, tens of thousands of customers took advantage of in 2011. Anyone who buys an entree can get another for free—once they kiss a fellow customer at the cash register. It doesn't matter (to Qdoba) who it is. No coupon is necessary. The promotion is happening nationwide. Qdoba is open normal hours, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., on Valentine's Day.

When you think of Valentine's Day, one thing comes to mind—chocolate. Try making one of these fudge recipes for your sweetheart.
"Don't wreck a sublime chocolate experience by feeling guilty." ~Lora Brody One of the easiest desserts to make has got to be fudge. I'm not much of a baker, so anytime I can create something good and chocolatey without turning on the oven I'm a happy girl. To this day, the fudge my grandmother used to make remains the best fudge I've ever eaten. I never tried to recreate it because I assumed it was too complicated for a novice like myself. Ironically enough, I recently learned that she found her recipe on the back of a Carnation Evaporated Milk can. Go figure. So here is that great fudge recipe. Create a sweet treat for your Valentine! Basic Chocolate Fudge Ingredients: Directions: Here are some suggestions for other types of fudge: Milk …
Crib our gift list, and add your suggestions.
Two years ago, a dear friend sought my advice on what to get his girlfriend for Valentine's Day. His idea? A lamp. Because nothing says I love you quite like a lamp.... Don't get me wrong — I'm all about practical gifts. But when it comes to Valentine's Day, I believe sentiments or surprises should come from the heart, and be about the person you love, not about fulfuling their lighting needs. After a little bit of coaching, my friend settled on a necklace from a local artist. His girlfriend loved the gift, not only because it was pretty, but because it would remind her of him throughout the day, even when they were apart. Remember too, Valentine's Day doesn't have to be about spending a lot of (or any) money. The way to a loved one's …

We all have a special story. Share yours with the WuPatch community today.
The bond between pet and human is one of the strongest there is. We'd do anything for our furry friends, and in return, we get unconditional love and a best friend for life. Almost all of us pet-people have a story about how we met our companion. In a twist on Valentine's Day, let's share our stories of how we met our love—our dogs, our cats, our bunnies, our hamsters, our Beta fish, our lizards... you get the idea. Share your pet story below in the comments. And upload a photo of your pet in our photo section!

Ziggy, a.k.a. Pukka, is not a pretty bunny, and that might have been what almost killed him. He was abandoned outside (which is illegal!) and found by the Attleboro Animal Control Officer, who contacted the House Rabbit Network. HRN does not take rabbits from the general public, but we do assist shelters and ACOs with situations like this. The plan was to bring Ziggy into our program, neuter him…   more ›
Help couples find somewhere to dine this Valentine's Day and singles find somewhere to have a drink and maybe meet someone new.
We all know there will be myriad options—and reservations, and long lines—for Valentine's Day at restaurants in downtown Boston. But what about in Woburn? For this week's Patch Picks, we want to know: What are the most romantic restaurants in Woburn or nearby? What makes those restaurants romantic? Is it the atmosphere? Live music? Or just the food itself? (Mmm ... chocolate?) We'll also accept restaurant or bar recommendations for anyone who's in the Lonely Hearts Club this Valentine's Day. Where's a good place for people who are single to gather and make an ironic toast to a "Hallmark Holiday?" (Or perhaps meet someone new?) Provide your answers in the comments section below, and on Thursday, we'll gather everyone's suggestions into …

Valentine's Day is approaching, and we're compiling a list of love songs.
It's Valentine's Day, and love is in the air... on the radio, in the coffee shops and maybe on your iPod. You know there's that one song that melts your heart every time you hear it. For me, it's "Over the Rainbow," sung by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. I don't know what it is, but that song makes stop in my tracks whenever those first notes are played. A colleague of mine and I came up with this list of classic love songs: Is your favorite on our short list? If not, share it in the comments section below.
