I want to thank everyone who helped out with our Lions Horn Pond Day planning and production of our community event on June 9th. Our joint Lions cause raised money for Mass Lions Eye Research. We had something for everyone, young and old, to view or participate in that day. A big thank you to the Sturgis Street residents for being a “good sport” as their peace was disturbed in the early hours as crews set up for the day. Without the generous donations from our sponsors, Lions Horn Pond Day could not have happened. The following information was provided by the Woburn Lions Clubs: The Lions Clubs' Horn Pond Day will be held Saturday June 9. Proceeds will benefit Mass Lions Eye Research. The Woburn LIONS Clubs have joined together to host a wonderful day for families filled with wholesome fun for all ages, and to raise funds that help Lions Eye Research and the local community covering a wide range of needs and services. There will be something for everyone, young and old, to do or to view, on Saturday June 9 from 9 AM to 4 PM. Events and activities will take place in and around Horn Pond and include a bouncy house, crafter’s tables, hot air balloon rides from 9:00-11:30, a dunk tank (see schedule for participants and times), tarot card reader, kayak…

Under the brilliant sun and warm temperatures, families from all over enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon at the first annual Lions Horn Pond Day event on Saturday, May 21. The event featured musical bands, hay rides, face-painting and kayak rides on the pond. The first-ever event was sponsored by the Woburn and Winchester Lions clubs.
