How Many Parking Tickets Were Issued in Woburn Last Year?
A look at how many parking tickets were issued, and how many of those were paid, during 2012.
Have you ever gotten a parking ticket and thought "Why me?"? Well, you are not alone. According to a monthly report to the Woburn City Council by Charles L. O’Connor, Parking Clerk for the Woburn Police Department, a total of 975 parking tickets were given out in 2012. The number of violations paid was 497, leaving 414 outstanding. There also is a backlog of 5,838 tickets from 1982 to 2011 that have not been paid. From 1982 to the present a total of $36,876 has been submitted to the Office of the Collector and $6,250 in parking violation have been referred to the Handicapped Commission to date.
