The congregation was formed on July 25, 1893 by a group of Swedish immigrants. The group was led by N.E. Kron and met in Fraternity Hall. The state formally recognized the church on Sept. 5, 1893 and it became the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church. Downtown Woburn is getting a new pub. It's the Brickyard, a bar and grill combo that is hoping to delight Woburn residents and beyond with its burgers featuring prime grade ground beef served on brioche, authentic thin crust Italian style pizza, salads, appetizers and small plates as well as over twenty beer selections.
