Police will be stopping vehicles to find potentially drunk drivers between somewhere in Middlesex County, which includes Woburn. Wednesday, 1:15 p.m.—A 24-year-old Webster man was struck and killed by a tractor trailer truck around 11 p.m. Tuesday night. The driver continued driving, said Mass State Police, until he was stopped in Woburn just after midnight. Jeremy Paige, 24, of Webster, was struck at 11:10 p.m. while walking in the westbound travel lane on the ramp from Cudworth Road to Route 395 northbound in Webster. Troop C State Police officers investigated the crash, and tracked a vehicle possibly involved in the crash to LKO Corporation. The truck was found by MSP on Route 93 in Woburn near Exit 37. Updated at 11:19 a.m.: Massachusetts State Police have released an update on the accident, and said traffic will be impacted for "some time." "Three lanes and the breakdown lane have been closed," the release said. "The operator of the truck has sustained some injuries and will need to be extricated from the cab. The extent of the injuries are not entirely known but not expected to be fatal." According to police, troopers from the State Police Barracks in Andover, Massachusetts Department of Transportation and members from the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section are all on scene. The holidays are upon us, and many residents will be traveling this week to see family and friends all across New England. State Police are doing their part to help ensure these visits don't end in tragedy because of impaired or distracted driving.
