The two-car accident closed down highway ramp for about 30 minutes.
A two-car crash at the Routes 95/93 cloverleaf sent one man to the hospital Saturday night. According to the Mass State Police, around 10:40 p.m. Saturday, troopers responded to the accident on the ramp from Route 95 North to Route 93 South in Woburn. Woburn Fire and emergency medical services also responded to the scene. The accident shut down the ramp for about a half-hour as public safety officials tended to the drivers, investigated the crash and removed the vehicles. A 31-year-old Wellesley man was transported to Lahey Clinic by Woburn Fire. Police report the man has non-life threatening injuries.

State police on the lookout for people drinking and driving.
The Massachusetts State Police will be conducting a motor vehicle sobriety checkpoint Saturday, Nov. 3 into Sunday, Nov. 4, somewhere within Middlesex County, according to a state police press release. Police will be stopping vehicles to find potentially drunk drivers between somewhere in Middlesex County, which includes Burlington. As is normal practice, police do not disclose the hours or locations of the checkpoints. "The purpose is to further educate the motoring public and strengthen the public’s awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways," a State Police statement reads. If you spot a state trooper camped out by the side of the road somewhere in Middlesex County this weekend, he or she may be doing more than just watching for speedsters. State Police Col. Timothy P. Alben announced last week that a sobriety checkpoint will be established on an undisclosed public way in Middlesex County from Saturday into Sunday. The checkpoints, which are funded by a state grant, are routine operations performed by the state police. A Salem man faces several charges after allegedly leading area police officers on an early Wednesday morning search.
After leading area police departments on a search through the woods in Stoneham, a Salem man was arrested early Wednesday morning in the area of Route 93 southbound near the Route 128 northbound ramp, according to a State Police spokesperson. Jonathan Torres, 31, of Salem, faces several charges, including operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license, subsequent offense, receving stolen vehicle, refusing to stop for police and possession of burglary instruments, according to the spokesperson. The rollover accident spilled thousands of gallons of gasoline on Route 128 Monday night.
Authorities believe that the gasoline tanker that rolled over on Route 128 Monday night was cut off by a passenger car. According to the Massachusetts State Police, in an attempt to exit off of Route 128 South, the car moved quickly from the second travel lane into the rightmost lane, close to the tanker. The car was believed to be slowing down to exit the highway, and the tanker truck was unable to stop, said authorities. "[The tanker] struck the passenger car, swerved and rolled over," said a MSP spokesman late Tuesday night. The driver of the tanker, Michael Cormier, 50, of Waltham, was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital by Woburn Fire with non-life threatening injuries. Mass State Police investigate single-car crash.
An Everett man was killed early this morning in a single-car crash on Route 93 North near the Woburn city line. According to the Massachusetts State Police, 35-year-old Oscar Lopez's car left the roadway and struck a rock ledge near Exit 36 at 1:30 a.m. Monday. The accident caused severe damage to the front of the vehicle, and Lopez, who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered traumatic injuries, said MSP Spokesman Dave Procopio. Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene. The right travel lane and breakdown lane at the crash scene were closed for about two hours during the crash investigation, said state police. An East Boston man was killed Monday night after an accident on Route 128 North in Woburn. According to the Massachusetts State Police, the man's 2002 Nissan Maxima was driving on the ramp to Washington Street (Exit 36) when his car "swerved, left the road and rolled over off of the ramp" Monday night just before 8 p.m. State Troopers are still investigating what caused the man's car to leave the road. Paul Salerno, 51, of East Boston, was ejected from the car during the rollover. After being transported by Woburn Fire Department to Massachusetts General Hospital, Salerno was pronounced dead. Mass State Police reconstructing accident Monday night.
A motor vehicle flipped over, ejecting one person Monday night, in an accident on Route 128 North. According to various public safety reports, the car rolled from the southbound lane into the north near Exit 36 (Washington Street), ejecting one person. Woburn Fire personnel on Engine 3 and Rescue 1 responded to the scene, providing CPR to the individual. The injured person was transported to Mass General Hospital with medics and WFD EMTs on board the ambulance. The Mass State Police were headed to the scene to reconstruct the accident.
