Medford pooch may have been seen in the area of Winchester Hospital and Woburn. Volunteers are asking everyone to keep an eye out for Marisol.
Marisol has been missing for more than two years from the Fells Reservation in Medford, but volunteers received a call on Christmas Eve telling them a dog who looks just like her was seen running around in a Winchester yard. The recent sighting is in line with the area of other possible sightings and adjacent to the Fells. A Winchester resident, who lives nearby Winchester Hospital, noticed a copper-colored dog in his backyard around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24. He said he never saw the dog before and hadn't been aware of the massive two-year-long search for the missing Medford dog. The expression goes that dogs are man’s best friend. But Sunday morning, one canine proved to be a great friend to its fellow dog. Because Penny, the Woburn family’s Boston Terrier who was missing from the Silver Lake area in Wilmington, was still wearing her leash when she ran away, she found herself in a bit of a predicament stuck in the swampy area behind Town Hall. A Woburn family is searching in Wilmington and beyond as they hope to bring their missing Boston Terrier back home. Friends and family have been searching for several days trying to locate Penny, who was spooked by several loose dogs as she was at Silver Lake in Wilmington with dog walker Jennifer Vadnais. The brown and white dog, belonging to Woburn’s Christina Marshall, ran away with its harness and leash still on.
