Redevelopment Authority Moves Forward With Downtown Parking Study
The Woburn Redevelopment Authority (WRA) met Tuesday to discuss downtown parking and how to best deal with a setback to their Magazine Hill Park and Ride facility expansion.
The city is moving forward on a study of the downtown parking area, which is expected to help officials learn how to clear up traffic and congestion. The Woburn Redevelopment Authority (WRA) met Tuesday night in the Committee Room of City Hall, to discuss the parking study, as well as the Magazine Hill parking area. The WRA is set to go ahead with a $27,800 parking study to take place in the downtown area in order learn how to best clear up traffic and general congestion. The WRA listed five tasks the study will focus on. “I feel it's a great project. Interesting. What i am wondering is how the parking lot on Union street got into the possession of the greek church. that lot was used as parking for the mbta for those going into Boston. now it has postings that the parking is for the greek church only. the mbta riders park in the walnut street lot now, taking up spaces from the customers doing business in the center.   more ›
