Alleged Serial Gun-Wielding Robber Arrested by Stoneham Police

Police believe that 19-year-old Taylor A. Goulding is connected to seven recent armed robberies in Stoneham, Woburn, Winchester, Melrose and Reading.

  Stoneham Police have arrested a 19-year-old in connection with seven recent armed robberies in the area, the department announced in a press release on Thursday morning. Taylor A. Goulding of Stoneham is charged with two counts of armed robbery while being masked and one count of attempted armed robbery while being masked for the three robberies that occurred in Stoneham on Oct. 30 at DB Mart, Nov. 1 at Sunset Tanning and Nov. 11 at C-Store. In each of those robberies, the suspect was described as a white male, wearing a black ski mask, black sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves, black and white sneakers, and brandishing a black handgun, according to Stoneham Police. WPD Assist State Police With Stoneham Search

A Salem man faces several charges after allegedly leading area police officers on an early Wednesday morning search.

  After leading area police departments on a search through the woods in Stoneham, a Salem man was arrested early Wednesday morning in the area of Route 93 southbound near the Route 128 northbound ramp, according to a State Police spokesperson. Jonathan Torres, 31, of Salem, faces several charges, including operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license, subsequent offense, receving stolen vehicle, refusing to stop for police and possession of burglary instruments, according to the spokesperson. Police Arrest Alleged Drug Dealer in Stoneham

Woburn Police and the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force investigation leads to 17-year-old's arrest.

  After a two-month investigation, a Stoneham man accused of dealing marijuana was arrested while police executed a search warrant last week, according to Stoneham Police Chief Richard Bongiorno. On April 17, the Southern Middlesex Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence of Patrick Decroteau, 17, of 5 Pond Street, according to Bongiorno. Decroteau, who was home at the time the warrant was executed, was taken into custody and charged with possession and distribution of a class D illicit substance (marijuana). If convicted, he could face up to two years in the House of Corrections, according to a police press statement.  The drug task force includes police officers from several towns, including Stoneham Det. Woburn Man Charged With Auto Theft in Stoneham

Derek Patterson, 36, allegedly stole a jeep in Woburn Wednesday afternoon, but was apprehended on Montvale Avenue in Stoneham.

A Woburn man who allegedly stole a jeep Wednesday afternoon in Woburn was apprehended several minutes later on Montvale Avenue in Stoneham, according to police.  Derek Patterson, 36, faces three charges, including felony counts of receiving a stolen motor vehicle and larceny over $250, and one misdemeanor count of operating a motor vehicle on a revoked driver's license, Stoneham Police said Tuesday. About 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, Woburn Police put a Be-On-the-Lookout alert to area departments after Patterson allegedly stole a black 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Montvale Avenue in Woburn, according to Stoneham Police Lt.
