ReplyIt would be a good idea to cover the fact that there will be a city-wide yard sale tomorrow. (http://cityofwoburn.com/?nid=1172)

Exactly. Also, what exactly do people expect the city police to be able to do about a computer virus and fraudulent bank site? Maybe I'm too new-fashioned, but it would never occur to me to go to the cops for help. Is that the first step in reporting it to the proper authorities (FBI, maybe)?

On the article MAP: How Much Snow Has Fallen in Woburn?

ReplyIt seems like for every storm this winter, Woburn has been very close to the dividing line between two groups of snowfall predictions (e.g., the line between 6-10 / 10-16, or 14-18 / 18-24). Kinda weird.

ReplyHad 10-11 inches in my driveway at 2pm. Had about 13 inches in my front yard, but that may have been on top of some old snow. This is in northern Woburn.

I would agree you shouldn't have to pay for a new meter, nor should all of us have to pay for it via a bond, if it's working just fine. I hope they will be able to easily test if existing meters work correctly, and if so leave them alone.
I'm in a duplex and am worried about how meters can be installed for each unit. I think we have just one connection to the water main, but I'm not sure. It could be a mess.

Hmm, I can't find anything about the MWRA in any of the linked articles here. I thought that was the root of the issue... No?

ReplyAre we getting MWRA water? If so, then I don't see how it's a good move to continue to thumb our noses at the laws / rules that come along with it.

I believe that each chain is eligible for up to three liquor licenses statewide (I could be wrong on the exact number, but it's limited). Trader Joes, for example, sells beer and wine in their Framingham, Memorial Drive Cambridge, and maybe another location, but not in Burlington, Arlington, etc.

Pearl Street! Aren't they supposed to be fixing it soon? There are a number of stretches where you have to slow to a crawl or drive on the other side of the road.
