ReplyI heard on the radio today that a bunch of people are getting those 'kidnap' phone calls all over the state. Really creepy.

ReplyHey Dennis, there is supply and demand 101 and then there is the fact that I believe the landlords represent a cartel aimed at keeping certain businesses out.
I have heard rumors and know from personal experience that certain businesses were not allowed to rent space.
And you misunderstand my use of the word 'diversity.' I meant diverse choices in shops, not necessarily owners.
But what do I know? I'm just another Socialist scumbag statist, right?

ReplyThe 'Grandson in Trouble' scam is very common. Happened to my grandparents who had the good idea of actually contacting my cousin who claimed he was in California.

ReplyI agree with all of those things.
But as long as nearly all of the real estate is owned by a few individuals who have managed to artificially inflate rent, there will continue to be very little diversity within the businesses in the Center.
A sad state of affairs.
