Donna Doane, Neighbor

Donna makes South Tiverton her home. After 10 years living in the hustle of the Back Bay of Boston, Tiverton and life on the water surrounded by beautiful farm land, brings a peaceful and welcomed change to her life.

Donna is a native of nearby Swansea, MA and started her career across the bay as an engineer at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport. She holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Business. After NUWC, Donna managed technical teams at Thomson Financial Services and Hewlett Packard before starting her own technical consulting company here in Tiverton. Today Donna is all about reading, writing and books as she launched her new business venture, MadJaxx.com, a unique online bookstore catering to the newly self-published author. In fact her first featured author was a local author right from Tiverton.

Journalism is not on her resume but writing and publishing has been a large part of her career and she has many technical publications to her credit.

Once the winter comes, she'll be looking for the best skiing and by summer, you'll find her paddling one of her kayaks or reading on her deck overlooking the Sakonnet.
