Thanks Mr. Montague. Yes, Mr. Thoreau's House, not shack. I meant no disrespect to Mr. Thoreau. Thanks for giving your opinion on Mr. Thoreau's architectural standards. Have a happy 4th.

ReplyEdit: "[...] Gregory Howes, as he stepped down after two years of service on the board." should read "[...] Gregory Howes, as he stepped down after two [terms] of service on the board."
My apologies to Mr. Howes. He was a Selectmen for two terms (six years) not the two years as written in the article. In addition to his time on the Board of Selectmen, Mr. Howes also served with the Board of Assessor and Concord Housing Authority combining for over ten years of governmental service in Concord.

ReplyHow do you feel about the commercialization of Christmas, has it been a positive thing for the Christian religion (getting more people involved, charities, general awareness of God/Jesus), or do you feel is has a negative impact (getting away from true nature of holiday/religion)?

Margaret Coppe of the School Committee contacted Patch to inform us that: "German 1 [will be left] on the Program of Studies for the next two years and see if enough students enroll to warrant running the program." Although this doesn't me re-reinstatement of the program, it does mean that if enough students show interest the administration may reconsider their choice to phase it out.
