At 2:02 p.m. police responded to the area of Cummings Avenue residence on a report of damage to city property.

Police spoke with Thomas Quinn, City of Woburn building inspector, who said he had received complaints from neighbors that the homeowner was removing loom from across the street from his house. The land in question is possibly city property. Quinn said the concern is that the loom taken could possibly compromise the slope of the land and effect erosion, which could create a dangerous situation.

Police spoke with the homeowner who said he had removed the loom but didn’t realize it would damage the property. He said he did it to facilitate the parking from in front of his home. Police informed him it was likely city property and that if he wanted work done to that area he would need to go in front of city council and seek permission.

At 2:40 p.m. police placed a woman into protective custody after an Inwood Drive caller stated finding a woman unconscious next to a motor vehicle. Police attempted to place the woman in an ambulance but she refused and tried to leave but kept falling over. She said she was on medications.

At 5:27 p.m. a woman called to report she had been struck by a known male. Caller said that while she was at the United Methodist Church in Woburn Center a male, who she identified, hit her on the left side around her hip area. She said she had past problems with the man and tries to avoid him.

Police advised her she could pick up a copy of the report at the station.
