POLICE LOG: Man Reports Assault at Workplace

An excerpt from the WPD police log. The following arrest information was supplied by the Woburn Police Department. The arrest does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

At 8:51 a.m. a man came to the police station to report a past assault. The man said he was attacked by a coworker at Reliable Fence Co., his place of employment. He showed police his injuries, which included two chipped teeth, a swollen right cheekbone and eye socket and two golf ball sized welts on the back of his head.

The man said the fight was over a work related issue and that the other man struck him after an argument became heated. He said the man struck him and then “choked him out.”

Police spoke with the coworker who said the reporting party was acting aggressively towards him. He also said the reporting party threw the first punch. The coworker did not have any injuries.

Both men admitted to a long standing feud and both decided not to seek a complaint in court.

Other Incidents

June 30-

At 4:40 p.m. a woman came to the station to report harassment. She said her ex-boyfriend, who she had dated for a year until a recent break-up, was sending her harassing text messages and caller her. He also allegedly said he was “going to make [her] wish [she] never met him.” He also threatened to show up at her work and has been calling her place of employment asking for her. She said he also threatened to show up at her home.

Police advised her of her rights to seek a restraining order and to file a criminal complaint for criminal harassment.  Police also advised her to call immediately if he turns up.

 

At 4:08 p.m. police responded to a Montvale Road residence on a report of a stolen bicycle. The caller said that he and his daughter were going to go for a bike ride when they noticed the bicycle was missing. The bike had been on the front porch along with another but only one was stolen.

The bike was described as a blue and white girls bicycle with the word “Bratz” on it.
