Woburn School Board to Wait Until September to Begin Evaluation of Superintendent

Woburn's School Committee decided in a recent meeting to wait until September to start the evaluation process of the district's superintendent Mark Donovan under new state standards, the Daily Time Chronicle reported.

According to the story, Donovan suggested to the board that he work with the School Committee's Personnel Subcommittee on his mid-cycle evaluation. The evaluation measures how successful he has been in meeting annual goals. He also said that if the board wanted to do the review earlier he was okay with that but it wouldn't be too late in the fall.

In September of last year the state put out new standards for reviewing superintendents based on more than 40 different indicators of job performance.
