Woburn E1 Mite Mites football game vs Wilmington

On Sunday October 27, 2013; our E1 Mite Mites took to, the field for their last game of the season.  It was a cool, crisp, sunny Sunday in Wilmington.  In the first half of the game; there were a few players on defense that had some impressive tackles. They were Matthew O'Connor (#73) with 2 solo tackles, Hayden Laprede (#33) with a solo tackle, Hannah Nowell (#53), Jordon Branson (#7), "X" Etienne (#21), Devin Vieria (#41), Brian Oliveira (#65), Justin Nicholas (#2),Joseph Silva (#81) and Wick's Edwards (#9) all combined to help stop Wilmington's, offense.  On our first offensive series our E1 Mite Mites scored a touchdown by "X" Etienne (#21).  On the second offensive series Hayden Laprede (#33) had a huge 20 yard run. Then on the next down Jordon Branson (#7) and Hannah Nowell (#53) had massive blocks then Devin Vieria (#41) had a tremendous block on the end player and this opened up a path for "X" Etienne (#21) to make a 12 yard run and set up another 2 yard run for "X" Etienne (#21) to run into the end zone for another E1 Mite Mites touchdown.  At the end of the first half the E1 Mite Mites were down 20-12.  Numerous players had run up their yardage for the first half; these included Devin Vieria (#41) had 18 yards, Hayden Laprede (#33) had 41 yards and "X" Etienne (#21) had run for 46 yards.

For the start of the second half the E1 Mite Mites received the football first, on this possession the Mite Mites marched down the field with a 12 yard run by Jordon Branson (#7), then a 18 yard run and a 44 yard run by "X" Etienne (#21) which he scored a Woburn touchdown.  Matthew O'Connor (#73) followed up with an extra point run.  Our defense excelled with numerous players including Hannah Nowell (#53), Tyler Gillardon (#23), Juan Vanegas (#30), Zach Steiner (#31), Joseph Silva (#81) and Justin Nicolas (#2).  Our offensive line did a phenomenal job on blocking; these players were Matthew McCarthy (#6), Wick's Edwards (#9), Sean McCarthy (#12), Juan Vanegas (#30), Hannah Nowell (#53), Matthew Mercer (#63), Brian Oliveira (#65) and Matthew O'Connor (#73).  These players provided blocking for Jordon Branson (#7) to run for 12 yards, Hayden Laprede (#33) to run for 8 yards, Devin Vieria (#41) to run for 19 yards and "X" Etienne (#21) to run for 112 yards in the second half.

The E1 Mite Mites fell short against Wilmington; final score was 27-19.
